Going, Going, almost gone..the Salisbury mall

For those who are local and have an interest in the historic tear down of the old Salisbury mall here are pictures of the latest progress. The work is now on the old Hecht company. The Sears store is gone and big piles of rubble remain. We estimate the mall building will come down completely in the next 2 weeks.

I had one of my first jobs at the Salisbury mall Hecht company in 1970. I worked the thrift department during summer break from college.

One of the pictures is of the back of the Twilley centre. The crews are moving trees in the divider strip to hide the Twilley centre from new housing that will come later.
