I watched a very interesting special on Quilt Barns on PBS and it looks like the perfect outing for the time. In over 40 states across the US and in Canada there are trails of old barns that display beautiful quilt blocks for all to see. All you have to do is drive by. It started in Ohio but Maryland does have a trail in Carroll county. It is a driving trail to show you the lovely country side and the history of barns throughout the county or state. Here is an article on Quilt Barns. When I have time I want to make a quilt block to display on my barn. (garden shed) Looks like a great way to spread the art of quilting.
