Pre-Quilted wallet
You will need ¼ yard of wallet fabric, 1/4 yd of lining, 1- 18″ zipper, magnetic snap and thread to match.
Tools needed: Â a sewing machine, chalk pencil, rotary cutter, mat and ruler and an iron.
I used a rotary cutter, ruler and mat to cut a strip of the pre quilted fabric and lining 7″ wide by the width of the fabric. You can curve or square the purse flap end. Â Cut the body of the purse 15″ X 7″ (we used a double sided pre quilted fabric). Â Cut the coin zipper pockets 5″ X 7″. Cut the lining 16″ X 7″ so you can trim excess later. Do not round the lining but use the wallet body as a guide when stitching the seams. The seam allowance is about 1/4″.
We have cut all the wallet pieces and are ready to prepare the lining.  Take the lining and measure down form one edge 6 inches and draw a line with chalk. You will be using a long zipper so you do not have to worry with the pull. When sewing the zipper use the regular presser foot and center the zipper tape on the fabric. Sew one side of the zipper tape to the line. (line up one edge of the  zipper to the 6″ chalk line with the 6″ above the zipper). Fold the zipper back and top stitch the fold in place. (see picture below) Sew the other side of the zipper to the 5″ X 7″ pocket on the 7″ side. At least 4″ of lining should extend on the bottom side. Top stitch the pocket in place, by sewing the bottom and side edges of the pocket in
place to the lining. Sew a 3″ square of pre quilt fabric  to the wrong side of the lining where the snap will go, for reinforcement . Insert one side of the snap.
With the main body pieces sew right sides together and leave a small opening on one side to turn. Trim. I used pinking shears to trim the curves. Turn the body to the right side and press and edge stitch the entire wallet.
Apply the snap to the fold up pocket so it positions with the other side of the snap. Once the snap is applied, fold the edge up to wrap the coin purse top stitch in place by sewing the side seams.
