How to apply single fold bias tape from Jenny’s Sewing Studio

202_073I love using single fold bias tape. It makes a quick and easy facing on a front closure.  I use single fold tape all the time to face out necklines when I want to recut  neckline depth or shape. Use any of our prequilted fabrics to make a placemat and face with the single fold tape. Using a steam iron helps to shape the bias trim.

See the colors I offer in the single fold bias tape. I also have matching piping.  Apply the piping to a project for a crisp and clean turned edge. Face the piping on the back side with the single fold bias. Works great.

Wrights has a great educational link on how to sew the tape in place and how to apply piping.

If you need a new piping foot to fit your machine we have them available too! I have used this Janome foot on most Baby Lock and newer Singer machines.

For inspiration I had designed several table runner projects to use with your embroidery machine. I will post the instructions in a few weeks or you can buy them on a CD with all the designs for $19.95.

If you would like to design your own project using the prequilts and the bias and piping we are now offering a nice clearance on many of our fabrics. We are also offering the trims and zippers to match.
