Learn to use all those serger extra accessories. Singer has published some nice PDF brochure files that will teach you how to use the beading, shirring, pearls, blindhem, piping, lace, yarn and cording feet. Make the most of your serger using the additional feet. If you see a foot that meets you needs Jenny’s Sewing Studio will have them on sale.
Another tool available to help you learn your serger is a new book with fun serger projects and ideas. Try “Ready, set serge”! 32 projects to serge. Nancy Zieman has a great book on serger basics called “Serge with Confidence”.
If you live in the Salisbury area and need “one on one” help with the serger instructions, Jenny will help. Schedule a class with Jenny. Jenny will call and make an appointment with you.
Want an easy serger project? Buy 1/2 yd of our prequilted fabric and use wooly nylon in the upper looper to contrast the fabric. Set you serger for a wide 3 thread over edge and a contrast thread on the back side. Cut out 3 oval place mats and in minutes you can overedge and finish the mat edges for a new look.
