Strip piecing is fun and a great beginner quilting project. The background quilted fabric is cut to the finished shape and is a blank canvas for you to create on. The same technique I use for the strip pieced purse can be used to create a wallet, a clutch, a vest, a jacket or a placemat.
I have designed a black and white strip pieced purse and will have a class at Hancock this Summer to construct the tote. The bag features a wide single strap and a magnetic snap closure. Inside are 3 pockets on each side for cell phone, lipstick, pens, and more. I offer the purse pattern for free. If you need help, come join us in class!
