We escaped the wrath of Sandy

Just a note to let our fans and customers know Jenny’s Sewing Studio is safe and dry after about 2 1/2 days of wind , rain, and stress from Sandy.  I am passing along some pictures for reference as to how close we came to getting in Sandy’s way.  Sandy passed just about 50 to 60 miles to the north and it made all the difference in how we fared.  Salisbury, MD is about 30 miles inland from Ocean City,MD. Sunday night at 6:00pm Salisbury was under a state of emergency and the entire downtown area was in flood water.  We had about 7 inches of rain and the wind blew about 50 to 60 miles an hour at the peak. The amazing thing is we had power the whole time and we were high and dry. I have to give thanks to God for our present conditions. When I look north I can not believe the devastion we escaped.

Here are some pictures to reference Sandy. I am sure you have seen plenty. It is a storm we will not soon forget. Even though it is still raining in Salisbury,MD on Tuesday night I finally emptied the bath tubs and buckets of water we had stock piled. I actually packed orders and got them to the post office today. My prayers are for all the people in New Jersey and New York and others who met Sandy full force. Tomorrow is another day!
