If you have never sewn or quilted before or if you just need help mastering a new pattern, we are here to help.Â
The Y has scheduled a 5 week session for $49.95. The Y will provide limited sewing machines for you to use in class or you can bring your own. You do not have to be a YMCA member.
Your first class involves learning to use the machine plus sewing a small project. We will help you pick a project for your next 4 lessons. Measurements will be taken for a pattern fitting. If you want to make a quilt, I will give you suggestions and fabric and equipment requirements. Classes 2-5 with be a “free sew” and you can start as many projects as you have time to complete. Jenny from Jenny’s Sewing Studio will be your instructor. Class is a 2 hour session each week for 5 weeks. Space is limited so enroll early. You must be at least 13 years of age to enroll. Bring fabric scissors, pins, tape measure, paper and pencil for notes, chalk pencil, plus a sewing and knitting seam gauge to first lesson. Please indicate if you need a machine or will be bring your own machine.
