The current Lap Quilting techniques are taught at Jenny’s Sewing Studio in Salisbury, MD. We no longer offer a club setting, but the class has evolved into a “one on one” session.

You can take a single introductory quilt lesson and construct a basic quilt block in class or enroll for as many sessions as you want. Continue to make new quilt blocks in each session and build a quilt of any size and color. We will be constructing a beautiful sampler quilt using Lap Quilt as you go technique.

Lap Quilting involves almost all styles of piecing and quilting. Lap Quilts are made from portable quilts sections that allow the quilter to work smaller blocks one at a time and assemble the quilted blocks to form a completed quilt. Working the quilt in smaller sections allows almost anyone to “handle” any size quilt. We will use “Lap Quilting” by Georgia Bonesteel as our text.
