New! Learn to quilt by Machine– Learn to stipple and use the walking foot. Learn to free motion quilt and use a quilting stencil. Learn to do free motion machine applique. We will send a lot of time on machine technique and free motion skills. Practice makes perfect.

I have supplied links to Hobby Lobby for supplies needed in class since it is in Salisbury, MD.

You will need 1 yard of off white pre quilted double faced fabric from Hobby Lobby Double-Face Quilted Muslin Fabric | Hobby Lobby , 1/2 yd of white or off white cotton broadcloth White Classic Cotton Calico Fabric | Hobby Lobby | 44873, 1/2 yd of iron on fusible fleece Fusible Fleece Batting | Hobby Lobby | 970228  and 1 spool of off white 100 all purpose sewology polyester thread about 2 shades darker than fabric All Purpose Polyester Thread – Blacks, Whites & Grays | Hobby Lobby and plus one wash away marker.

I will need your machine make and model number to fit your machine for a free motion foot and a walking foot if you do not have one.

I will supply stencils to use in class for free motion quilting and some fabric for free motion applique.

OR

Learn to Finish the Quilt- If you have an unfinished quilt top from one of our quilt classes , you can learn to quilt and bind the quilt in this class. This would be a substitute for the free motion stippling lesson. Bring enough prequilted double faced  fabric to cover the back of your quilt (replaces backing and batting) and 5/8 yd for binding for a lap size quilt top. If you have a larger quilt bring 3/4″ of binding fabric. We will pin baste using safety pins. You will need medium safety pins and thread to match the binding and quilt top.

You will send 2 hours for either class. Let me know what you would like to accomplish with your class time. We can also add class time if you have a large project to finish and quilt.
